The classic game: The timeless skill game Mikado is suitable for the whole family. Here you can simply act and communicate with each other for the duration of the game to be determined by yourself without much material expenditure, complicated game instructions or space requirements. Already the children of the game round experience playfully and simply besides the success of an ever improving eye-hand coordination.
Mikado game material and quantity: There are 41 game sticks made of FSC-certified wood with a length of 18 cm. The colored markings applied in each case show different point values. The total value of all sticks equals 170 points. The value is divided into:
1 x stick Mikado: blue (or black) curled = 20 points
5 x stick Mandarin: blue - red - blue = 10 points each
5 x stick Bonzen: red - blue - red - blue - red = 5 points each
15 x stick Samurai: red - yellow (or green) - blue = 3 points each
15 x stick Kuli: blue - red = 2 points each.
And this is how it works: Player 1 bundles the sticks upright in his hand on the playing surface and then simply lets them fall apart by opening his hand. As criss-crossed as they have now fallen, the task is to clear them off one by one. The only thing to keep in mind here is that when the selected stick is picked up, no other stick wobbles. If this happens, the turn goes to the next player. Directly grabbing the stick, raising it by pressing on a tip or whirling it up with a stick that has already been picked up are permitted variations. When all the sticks have been picked up, the game is over. The winner is the player who can score the most points over the markings on the sticks.
